Weekend

Well not to much to report from the weekend. Grandma and Grandpa babysat last night (saturday) so me and Adam could go out for a friends birthday dinner. It was nice to get out for a bit and have a nice meal.

Izzie and Marley sure are growing they are actually fitting in their little hoodies YAY! I love hoodies!! Well they only fit one set so far but dang are they cute :) I even put their little Etnies shoes on them....so gangsta ;) I should have taken a picture but I didnt...I'll work on it next time they are in their little jeans and hoodies I'll take a pic.

Izzie was just having a little bit of a fussy moment tonight and now she is laying on her daddy and chillin out...so nice to see daddy with his lil ones...so heartwarming :D

Anyways, America's Best Dance Crew is on and I can't miss it! TTYL

Good Day

So today was a really good day i must say.

Marley slept alot today which was nice since she has been so fussy the last few days. And she hasn't spat up much today either YAY! A day without spit up is a good day for me lol!!

This morning was a bit of a mess since I slept in and we had to go uptown and what not before their 12:30 pm feed and I had nothing ready to go but I think sleep was more important and I felt really well rested so I think it was worth the hussle and bussle.

So I took the girls uptown today and it was fun...I love getting out of the house. We went to superstore and saw lots of people and then went to sears and saw Grandma for a bit. Then we went over to see Grandpa at his house and we stayed there for the afternoon untill Daddy was off work.

We finally got all the pictures from the photos we had done by Erin Wallis a week or so ago. They are absolutely beautiful pictures...Thanks Erin if you are reading this!! I'm so glad I have some nice photogenic babies lol!

So tomorrow we are going to go to Mom's and Tots which should be fun...I'm so glad I'am finding things to do outside of the house I really can't wait till they are a few months older and I can take them swimming!! I love swimming and I'am looking forward to playing in the water with my girls.

Well its 10:50 pm now and I really need to go to bed. Untill next time....

Baby Update

So, we just got back from the babies check up appt. with Dr. Russell their pediatrician and here is the update...

Marley is now 7 lbs 11 ozs
Izzie is now 8 lbs

They are both thriving and doing well. And thats about it really.

Marley is being fussy so I'am going to go swaddle her and give her a cuddle and hopefull she will calm down.

Fussy Fussy

Well today had a bit of a rough start. Marley and Izzie slept GREAT last night...fell asleep after their 9:30 pm feed...woke them up at 2:30 am for a feed and they fell back asleep...and then fed them at 6:30 am this morning and USUALLY they both sleep after that feed to but not this morning, they both decided to sort of fall asleep and as soon as I was almost back to sleep they woke up and decided to start fussing. So that was fine since I got lots of sleep during the night but it is now 4:30 pm and Marley has just drifted off to sleep...she has not slept since the 6:30 feed this morning and she has just been cranky the whole time. She must be going through a growth spurt or something. But now its finally a lil bit quieter in here and I have a few minutes to my self.

I finally got the house cleaned I did the bathroom last night and finished tidying up today. Its so funny how now that I have kids I constantly want the place to stay clean clean clean where as before I would let it go for a while before tidying it up. Now it seems I wanna clean whenever I have a free moment. But I don't always give into the urge I went to the library yesterday and checked out some books so I can read and relax while the kiddies are asleep. I think I've read every single pregnancy book out there while I was pregnant and now I can read every single child care book too haha! I read too fast thats my problem!

So I found a great deal on diapers today...if any moms with new babies are reading this, Pampers swaddlers in sizes 1-2 in boxes of 92 are on sale at superstore right now for $17.97 and its the same price as the smaller 66 pack in the bag. Just thought I would let ya'll know.

Also for all you money savers there is a website I found a little while ago where you can order cupons for groceries and whatnot and they come in the mail you just click on the cupons you want and they get mailed to you in about a week I've done it and its awesome the website is www.save.ca I totally recommend it.

Anywho I should get going, the hubby should be on his way home from work soon here and I want to get a lil book time in so until next time...

Another Month

Wow I can't believe it is March already! Crazy!! It seems like just the other day I found out I was pregnant...than pregnat with twins...and that they were two girls lol! I can't believe all this time has passed and my girls are 6 weeks old as of yesterday (friday). (sorry I haven't posted for a few days the blogger website didn't seem to wanna work on my computer for some reason...maybe the site was down).

So anyways, yeah the girl are 6 weeks old...only 2 more weeks and I have to take them for their first shots..eeek! Hopefully its not too bad. Hmm what else do I have to update you all on...I think the girls are on the verge of their first smile...I know I know its probably just gas but its fun to watch...Izzie gives me a good grin here and there (and then a giant fart!) and Marley gives me a smile once in a while when shes done eating. So hopefully soon those REAL smiles will be coming. I don't remember if I posted it in my last post but Marley is 7.5 lbs and Izzie is 7.13 lbs now and growing like weeds...I can tell because they are starting to wear NB sizes now and not the preemie stuff! But thats about all thats new this week. The girls saw daddy play hockey for the second time...I can't wait to take them to his baseball games tho it will be alot warmer lol!

Anywho, its only 7 am and the girls are done feeding and I was just posting while I was steralizing some bottles so thats done now and I'm heading back to bed!

Holy Snow Batman!

Wow...I just woke up and its snowing! I thought the snow would be done for the year by now...ugh! Now not only do I have to worry about driving around two infants, but two infants with snow on the ground....not cool! lol! Too bad the babies aren't old enough to play in it yet, that would make for some fun pictures.

Well last night was a pretty good night, there was a lil bit of fussing but we still got our 3 1/2 hours sleep inbetween feeds. Marley is awake right now its 8:30 approx. AM and shes very fussy...she already ate and now shes just being a fusspot. And Izzie...well shes just being Izzie chillaxin' in the crib drifting in and out of sleep without a care in the world.

Anyways I should really go cuddle Marley and get her to sleep so I can get a shower in today and get some laundry going. Maybe I will post again later on.

Twins...

Well this is my first blog. As many of you already know I gave birth to twin girls on Jan. 16th 2009. Their names are Izzie and Marley and they are absolutely beautiful.

I'am finally getting a little bit of time in between feedings so I thought I would start up a blog to keep y'all updated! Hopefully I will be able to keep up with it and continue to write.

So today is Feb. 23rd (Monday) and the girls are now 5 weeks old as of last Friday. It's amazing how fast time goes by! It still feels like I just had them a week ago and now they are over a month old...its gonna be time to get their first shots before I know it! (which i am not looking forward to by the way). The girls are now discovering their hands and grabbing at the toys on their play mat its pretty frickin cute to watch. They can also focus on objects now and faces. Marley had a bit of thrush a few week back and now its finally cleared up but now she seems to have a sore throat or it sounds like it anyways. My poor girl, Marley seems to have all the issues while Izzie is just so chill and laid back its crazy. They both have very different personalities already and no they are not identical (just thought I would address that since everyone asks) they are looking more different by the day.

The girls are finally getting some more sleep at night which means so are me and Adam. We are now allowed to let them sleep between 4-5 hours inbetween feeds at night which was the best news I've heard in the 4 weeks we've been home lol! I feel so much more refreshed with the extra hour or two of sleep at night, since I've never been really good at napping during the day.

Izzie and Marley are finally over 7 lbs now! Which is great cuz I was worried I was't feeding them right or something but now they are the size of real babies (thats what me and adam always say lol) and they are finally starting to fit into their NewBorn size clothes lol! I can't wait till they grow into all the cute clothes I have for them, they are gonna be the coolest lil girls around. The girls love when we sing and dance with them, naturally they love music like their mother :) And Izzie loves to crap on Adam haha! She deffinatley has her daddies bowels LOL.

Anyways, Izzie fell fast asleep durng her tummy time, and Marley is chillaxin' in her swing and I'am watching Ellen, but I just realized I should probably go and have a shower while they are so peaceful, hopefully Izzie doesn't wake up when I move her :S
